- The Headmaster’s Wager by Vincent Lam: The 2006 Scotiabank Giller Prize winner (for his short story collection Bloodletting & Miraculous Cures) is back after a long six-year wait. - Under the Hawthorn Tree by Ai Mi:Under the Hawthorn Tree has already sold more than a million copies in China, the (anonymous) author’s home, and it’s easy to see why. Set against the backdrop of the Cultural Revolution, this heartbreaking novel has all the makings of a classic coming-of-age love story: lovers separated by economic, cultural and geographic differences struggle, against all odds, to be together.
- Kaleidoscope by Gail Bowen: In Kaleidoscope, the 13th novel in the Joanne Kilbourn mystery series, a community is being ripped apart by a developer’s proposal.
